I'd rather pass on HP if possible, but will consider HP if none of the other makers are really any better these days. If my C7280 isn't worth messing with, are there any good color all-in-ones (either inkjet or laser) that have all the features that it has (including cheap and plentiful aftermarket ink available on Amazon and LD Products)? My budget is $200 or under. Do you think either option is worth the hassle on my now 9 year old printer with a dead fax module? I also found another video showing how to remove the printhead and rinse it. I found a video on Youtube where a guy who had a clear refillable HP 02 cartridge set injected into them a solution of distilled water, ammonia (he also said Windex would work too) and 70% isopropyl alcohol, but it took him a few hours to do the cleaning. This self-test report shows that about 30+% of the nozzles on the black head aren't printing, even after many head cleaning cycles. I ran one of the hidden nozzle self-test reports (hit * and # on the keypad, enter 123 on the keypad, it's under one of the menu areas). The black printhead appears to be clogged (I've done quite a few printhead cleaning cycles tonight and wasted a good bit of color ink, no real improvement on the black printing). My HP Photosmart C7280 all-in-one is nearing its end I think. Merry Christmas folks (for those that observe it)!
